Role Overview

Apply today to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client's food distribution centre. Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives to work in Sherburn in Elmet. The rates of pay are £14.05 to £18.29 per hour Overtime x 1.5, Bank holiday x 2 Freezer allowance. This is a full-time role working any 5 out of 7 (12 week rolling rota) The hours of work are: - 6am to 2pm - 2pm to 10pm - 10pm to 6am Your Time at Work As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for: - Picking - Dealing with goo…

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately picking and packing orders using hand-held RF scanners and pick sheets
  • Loading and unloading freight, goods-in vehicles, and distribution containers safely
  • Conducting quality control inspections to ensure shipments match manifest specifications
  • Operating pallet trucks, roll cages, and warehouse material handling equipment responsibly
  • Maintaining tidy, organized pallet racking and keeping warehouse walkways free of hazards
  • Adhering strictly to manual handling guidelines and warehouse health & safety protocols

Candidate Requirements

  • Reliable, self-motivated with good physical stamina for active warehouse shifts
  • Good attention to detail when reading SKU numbers, pick quantities, and customer shipping labels
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a cooperative distribution team
  • Willingness to undertake shift work including early mornings, afternoons, or night rotations
  • Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
