The Opportunity

Carrot is seeking a Lead, Product Management to help shape and scale of our core product areas as Carrot's platform continues to grow. In this role, you'll operate as a strategic driver within the Product organization — owning a significant portion of the product roadmap, setting direction for cross-functional initiatives, and raising the bar for product craft across the team.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role for someone who has already demonstrated strong product judgment and is ready to take on greater scope: shaping strategy, mentoring other product managers, and partnering directly with senior leadership on the initiatives that matter most to our members and business.

If you're energized by solving ambiguous, high-stakes problems and want to help define how Carrot builds products at scale, this role is for you!

What You’ll Own

In this role, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy and roadmap for a key product area, translating company priorities into a clear, prioritized plan of execution
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives, aligning Engineering, UX, Clinical, Legal, and Commercial partners around a shared vision and set of goals
  • Serve as a thought partner and informal mentor to other Product Managers, helping raise the bar on product process, discovery, and craft across the team
  • Make and communicate high-judgment prioritization decisions, balancing member experience, business impact, and technical feasibility
  • Partner directly with senior product and cross-functional leadership to shape quarterly and annual product strategy
  • Identify and address systemic gaps in process, tooling, or team practices that limit the Product team's effectiveness
  • Represent the Product team in executive and cross-functional forums, clearly communicating strategy, trade-offs, and outcomes

What Success Looks Like

In your first 12–18 months, you will have:

  • Delivered a body of work that measurably improved member outcomes, engagement, or business performance within your product area
  • Built trusted, effective working relationships with cross-functional leaders across Engineering, UX, Clinical, Legal, and Commercial/Customer Success
  • Established yourself as a go-to product thought leader, with other PMs seeking out your input on strategy and process
  • Shaped or improved a core product process (discovery, roadmapping, prioritization) that is now used more broadly across the team
  • Successfully led at least significant, ambiguous, cross-functional initiative from concept through launch

About You ✨

You likely have:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, including time at a fast-growing technology company; healthcare or digital health experience is a plus
  • A track record of owning complex, cross-functional product initiatives from strategy through execution
  • Strong product sense and the ability to balance user needs, business goals, and technical constraints in your decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align both peers and senior leadership
  • Experience mentoring or informally guiding less-experienced product managers

Nice to Have ⭐

While not required, we would be especially excited if you bring:

  • Experience in fertility, family-building, or broader digital health benefits
  • Experience partnering with Clinical or Legal teams on regulated or compliance-sensitive products
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled product features or workflows
  • Experience operating in a fully distributed, remote-first organization

Why This Role Matters

As Carrot continues to scale, our Product team needs leaders who can operate with both strategic clarity and hands-on execution. This Lead, Product Management role is central to that effort — helping ensure our roadmap reflects the right priorities, our cross-functional partners are aligned, and our product practices scale sustainably as the team grows.

This is an opportunity to have an outsized impact: shaping not just a single product area, but the way Carrot's Product organization operates as it matures.

Interview Process

We believe in a thoughtful and transparent interview process designed to create alignment for both candidates and our team.

For this role, candidates can expect:

  1. Recruiter Screen — 30 minutes
  2. Hiring Manager Interview — 30–45 minutes
  3. Cross-Functional Panel Interviews — 45 minutes
  4. Executive Leadership Conversation — 30 minutes
  5. Hiring Manager Wrap-Up — 15 minutes

Throughout the process, we will share additional context about the team, business priorities, customer landscape, and what success looks like in this role.

Highlights include:
