Kitchen Porter - Ashby-de-la-Zouch We're hiring a Kitchen Porter / Kitchen Assistant to join Centivo Lounge - part of Loungers, proudly named Casual Dining Group of the Year 2026. Key Responsibilities
- Assisting in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of fresh ingredients according to specifications
- Operating commercial kitchen appliances, fryers, ovens, and dishwashers safely and efficiently
- Washing pots, pans, utensils, and sanitizing kitchen prep stations throughout service
- Monitoring food storage temperatures and completing food safety checklists (HACCP)
- Unloading catering deliveries, rotating stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles
- Maintaining high standards of kitchen hygiene, waste management, and environmental health compliance
Candidate Requirements
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for food and working in high-tempo culinary environments
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification is an advantage, or willingness to complete during training
- Ability to work standing for extended periods and stay calm during busy lunch and dinner rushes
- Punctual, dependable, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety
- Valid right to work in the United Kingdom
What Is Offered
- Compensation: £22,568 - £26,436 / yr
- Contract Type: PART TIME
- Location: Leicester, Leicestershire
